Thoughtfully designed down to the tiniest details, Jan’s pieces are clean and simple with a generous hint of seductive charm. She creates classics - with subtle, playful twists that can be apart of a gorgeous wardrobe forever.
Jan originally trained as a graphic designer, and then her passion for textiles and style led her to study fashion in Los Angeles. She later apprenticed and honed her fine craftsmanship and impeccable tailoring skills. She soon launched her own clothing line - and each hand-crafted collection is filled with beautiful, lighthearted pieces the flatter and celebrate the women who wear them.

Harputs OWN We
take a pragmatic approach to design, concentrating on the development
of select "generic" garments (a dress, sweater, blazer) as statement
pieces. Our creative process leans on curiosity and experimentation in
conjunction with the various influences that inform our work: how each
garment ages, how our customers react, and what new fabric we find. Each
piece is part of a communal effort and, thus, always subject to change.
Our aesthetic is simple yet unconventional-intelligent pieces that can
be insensibly worn. By pairing tailoring techniques and refined details
with simple silhouettes each piece is complex, yet uncomplicated.
Ultimately, we aim to make easy clothing that can be worn multiple ways.

Sofie Olgaard grew up in Denmark. She draws inspiration from her Scandinavian roots where she creates a look based on the melancholic side of Scandinavian culture combined with playful esthetics. Her style is founded in simplicity and understated detail.
Sofie Ølgaard earned her Bachelor of Arts in Womens Wear at the London College of Fashion in the UK. She received acclaim for her ability to turn the utilitarian style of men’s clothing into beautifully crafted clothing for women. Her debut collection was selected for GenArt's Fresh Faces in Fashion October 2008. Each collection is born with a great deal of dedication, passion, creativity and love.

With the active support of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and a coalition of fashion designers, retailers, corporate industrialists, and other professionals, she was quickly able to build IFCSF into a non-profit global resource center that has already received acclaim for centralizing sustainable efforts in so-called “eco-fashion.” In 2007 she was nominated for the “Leukemia and Lymphoma Woman of the Year”. She earned her Masters in Business Management and Commerce from L’INSEEC, in France and a BA in French and Political Science, from Williams College, and is currently finishing her MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio Graduate School. Fashion Choreographer, Charleston Pierce
With a background in performing arts including theater and ballet, Charleston was primed and ready when discovered by Larry Hashbarger and signed with Jimmy Grimme's modeling agency in San Francisco. In 2005, Charleston was appointed model coach and runway trainer by Macy's Passport. Much of Charleston's recent notoriety can be attributed to the 2007 launch of "Charleston Pierce Presents" - an exciting series of fashion, music and entertainment events that focus on promoting local designers, supporting charities and breathing new life into the San Francisco fashion scene.
